McWong can provide various sludge dewatering technologies for customers. We have successful designed and installed projects for dewatering lime sludge, iron-hydroxide sludge, chrome-hydroxide sluge, biological sludge, oily sludge, sludge from food industries, and major municipalities.
Sludge Pretreatment
McWong places great importance on the pretreatment of the sludge in order to properly prepare the sludge for dewatering. We have successfully designed and used gravity thickeners, rapid mix tanks, flocculation tanks, and our own CAF unit to pretreat and thicken sludge prior to a dewatering system.
Sludge Dewatering
McWong provides two sludge dewatering systems: the belt filter press and the plate and frame filter press.
The McWong belt filter press is designed for fully automatic operation, easy maintenance, low operational cost, low work noise, efficient dewatering; and high cake solids content. The McWong belt filter press is mainly used for the dewatering of sludge in paper making, oil refining, chemical, beverage, paint, leather, textile, food, printing and dyeing industries as well as for dewatering of municipal sludges..
The McWong plate and frame filter press is also designed for fully automatic operation, efficient dewatering and high cake solids content. This system is selected over the belt filter press when the sludge structure can be dewatered to a higher solids content. The plate and frame filter press is mainly used for steel mill sludges, mining sludges, sludged with a high inorganic content and sludges that are high in density.
McWong has been designing, selling and installing both units in China for over a decade and has numerous installations throughout the country.
