October 2006, MEEG won a 30 million RMB project to construct a 33,000m3/day wastewater treatment plant. This project is another solid step taken to proveMEEG's expertise in the steel mill wastewater treatment field. Through this project, MEEG also established a firm relationship with Te Su Gang Steel. Co.

The wastewater treatment plant is currently in operation and has met the effluent design requirements. The innovative design of this project also dramatically reduced the water usage cost from 25~27 tons of water per ton of steel to 6 tons of water per ton of steel. As a part of this contract, MEEG was responsible to provide technical support in operating the wastewater treatment plant, and to provide maintenance to the entire wastewater treatment facility and auxiliary systems, including the electrical and instrumentation systems at the facility.
